Performance is our central and visceral component and one of the practices of Shalva Nikvashvili’s. Rooted in his personal experiences and shaped by a continuous investigation of identity, his performances often blur the lines between ritual, vulnerability, and resistance. Drawing from his Georgian heritage and his life in diaspora, Shalva uses the body as both subject and medium as an expressive tool to navigate complex emotional and psychological terrains.
His performances are not staged spectacles, but rather raw, embodied acts that confront the audience with themes of transformation, trauma, and selfhood.
