You know what I find fascinating about dinner parties?
How everything is somehow controlled from beginning to end. The food comforts you, the alcohol loosens you, and suddenly you begin talking more because you feel safer, freer. Then comes more alcohol, more freedom, and somehow maybe you end up “in a corner of a building,” feeling so comfortable that you start undressing and dancing topless.

Is this something that can shock me? Of course not.

But can we push this even further far enough to break down every belief about how one should behave around a dinner table? Are table manners really for people who have nothing else to do with their lives?

And the most important thing is: if you truly believe that… then why don’t you go work for f*^*^ing McDonald’s, Mary Lou?
